Senshido (Japanese name meaning "The Way of a thousand Masters") is a scientific and eclectic method of Personal Protection/ Self Defense created by Canadian Richard Dimitri in 1994, after his extensive experience in bouncing, VIP protection (“body guarding”), and undercover security work.
Senshido's objectives are simple: To empower people with simple, efficient, and "acid-tested" tools, tactics, and strategies to survive real-world violence.
Senshido does not teach Martial Arts "Moves" or "Techniques", but rather focuses on concepts, strategies, tactics, tools, targets, and gross motor skills utilization. This unorthodox approach resulted from the realization that concepts, strategies, tactics, tools, targets, and gross motor skills were simpler, instinctive, seldom forgotten, and most importantly usable in any situations.
